Toddler Anatomy

We are currently participating in Toddler Anatomy. We spend much of the day pointing out body parts and giving the related name. All part of trying to aid in the growth of a toddlers vocabulary. This particular night, Zoie chose to practice at dinner. Look, this is my mouth!
WOW! Check this out, I can do tricks with my tongue!!! This next one is easy, nose was one of the first ones I learned!

Oh my, this is even better. It appears my finger was perfectly designed to fit inside my nose!!! It is amazing how some things can be learned so easily.

LOOK WHO CAME TO VISIT

Papa and Mimi came to visit over the holiday weekend. Looks like Zoie suckered Papa into reading a book too. She had a great time entertaining them. We also found out she is a shoe fanatic, she absolutely loved shoe shopping! I couldn't have asked for anything more in a daughter!!!

YOU CAN'T DRESS ME

The game of chase. Any time you show the slightest notion that you may want her to come to you, the game is on. She is running the opposite direction with this naughty little smile on her face. Especially true when it is time to get dressed. As you can see in the pic, I decided we would try a game of tug-of-war (note the pulling of the shirt).

The face of defeat, Mommy wins--- this time anyway.

BATH HAIR

It is hard to even notice the crazy hair for the knockout blue eyes. Some day those are going to be the death of Kelly. However, back to the hair. This is just one of the many doo's we come up with at bath time. Too bad she can't see herself in the tub, maybe she'd laugh as hard as I do!!! (NOTE the look of confusion as I laugh hysterically.)

Aaahhhh... More Snow!

There is nothing like a fresh layer of snow. You see, here where the snow stays on the ground for months, it only looks good for a few days. After that, the winds blow (and I mean BLOW) and then it suddenly looks like we are in the Florida panhandle with white sandy beaches instead of freezing in the tundra with layers of snow. That all changes when you go outside, for example it was 2 degrees when I went out this morning about 10:30. Definitely not in the Sunshine state.

Libs loves fresh snow. It's like her batteries get recharged as it falls and she can't wait to go out again to run and scratch and jump in the fluff. It seems to be a pattern we are in, this is yet another Monday with 2-4 inches expected. Lucky Libby!

CHECK OUT MY BROTHER!

Obviously this is not Brandon. This is my new, or 1 year old, Brother sewing machine. You see, my dear sweet husband purchased it for me last year for my Birthday. Unfortunately I was a little busy then with a 10 week old baby so I didn't really get around to using it. Exactly 1 year to the day, I dusted the beauty off and headed to my first sewing class. I have now completed Know Your Machine Parts I and II and Embroidery 101. I think they add the 101 to the title to make you feel like you've really achieved something. Stay tuned and perhaps soon I will have a finished project to display for you!!
