SCARY TIGER

Zoie got this cute tiger mask a few weeks ago at a reading event we attended. She thinks it is really fun until Daddy wears it. Then, it becomes scary Daddy. She is afraid to even walk down the hallway if he is in the bedroom.

HAIRCUT DAY

It was more like hair trimming only in the back day but, it was still the first. Her hair was so many different lengths so I decided it was time for some expert intervention. Plus it is important for every girl to begin developing a good relationship with their stylist at a very early age. The decision was made to simply trim the back a few times to give everything else a chance to catch up. We had discussed last night that we were going to see Ms. Kelly and she was going to cut her hair. She would put her fingers in her hair and imitate the sound of cutting.

She did great. She was a bit apprehensive until she found the chair spins and she got to wear the leopard print cape which also had a lion on the front. From that point on, it was all smiles!!

STORYTIME

We've been going to Toddlertime at the library. Zoie is starting to get more comfortable and participate more. Last week was about fall. They were all given these little cloth pieces that were "leaves" to hold and dance around with. She really enjoyed it.

We have also been to storytime at Barnes and Noble a few Friday nights. We went this past week because Pooh was to be making an appearance. She has become a big fan of Pooh. We've been checking out lots of Pooh books from the library.
,
Zoie is in the chair and her friend, Riley, is standing behind her. She loved the idea of Pooh but, this was about as close as she wanted to be. I couldn't talk her into standing by him for a pic. Just before he left she touched him briefly. The next day she kept saying. "Hug Pooh." I guess I missed that.

Class 3 and 4

I finished Course 1 tonight. Here is the cake from last week.

It wasn't perfect but, I got the techniques. I had to finish most of it at home so I was trying to hurry as it was getting a bit late.
This is the cake from Lesson 4, the final class.

I rushed this one a bit so I could finish in class. It took me a while to figure out the roses but, I think I've got it down now.

AT-TI-TUDE

This morning got off to a little rough start. Zoie is a little spoiled to usually having breakfast waiting on her when she comes to the kitchen. This morning wasn't much for breakfast, just Eggo waffles so I needed to toast them once we got to the kitchen. She wasn't much of a fan of the waiting process (never is when it comes to cooking), so she hit me. I said we don't hit Mommy so she thought she would again. She won a minute of sitting on the couch for that one.
Later we were leaving the house and she bumped her cheek on the car door. I offered to give it a kiss and as I was leaning down and she started waiving her hands around saying no Mommy. I said you don't need to have that attitude with Mommy. She looked at me and in a snappy voice said At-ti-tude and seemed to be quite content to have learned a new word!
