Happy Easter

HAPPY EASTER

We had a very quiet Easter. Our special dinner was at CiCi's Pizza as it was the only thing open en route from church. We weren't adventurous enough to venture to a fine restaurant for a lovely Easter brunch as the egg hunter was ravenously hungry and also quite sleepy. Here are some pics of the dress and the egg hunting that ensued after nap!

Old Friends and New Friends

We were in Lincoln last weekend and were able to meet up with some of our best friends from when we lived there. It was great to see them, I forgot how much we missed them and what fun we had together. We also were able to meet some new friends as there have been 3 new additions to the group.

Justin and Kinley.

Kinley, Gracie and Zoie.

Laura and Zoie- it looks lie nap time girls!

Dawn, Gracie, Lily, Deedra and Kinley.

Chris and Laura

Justin and Kelly.

Brian and Christian.

Look, we are all wearing our cupcakes!!!

So fun to see everyone. Wish we would have had more time. We missed a picture of baby Matthew and also of Becky.

FAMILY TRIP

It's been a little busy around here we've had LOTS going on, some crazy schedules and 2 short trips. I'll try to get things a little caught up over the next few days. These are a few shots from our quick trip to Oklahoma. We stayed with Scott and family in Edmond and Zoie had fun getting to hang out with their clan. She and Sydney seemed to enjoy following each other around.

Sharing snacks in our jammies. Yes that means this was before breakfast.

TWINKIES! Cousin Syd has an abundant wardrobe and offered to share. We thought they would be too cute to dress alike. Yes, someone even asked if they were twins!

It was beautiful on our last day and Zoie got to enjoy real outside weather with her cousins.

LOOK - it's the Tyler monster!

Just look at that face!

Toddler Anatomy

We are currently participating in Toddler Anatomy. We spend much of the day pointing out body parts and giving the related name. All part of trying to aid in the growth of a toddlers vocabulary. This particular night, Zoie chose to practice at dinner. Look, this is my mouth!
WOW! Check this out, I can do tricks with my tongue!!! This next one is easy, nose was one of the first ones I learned!

Oh my, this is even better. It appears my finger was perfectly designed to fit inside my nose!!! It is amazing how some things can be learned so easily.

LOOK WHO CAME TO VISIT

Papa and Mimi came to visit over the holiday weekend. Looks like Zoie suckered Papa into reading a book too. She had a great time entertaining them. We also found out she is a shoe fanatic, she absolutely loved shoe shopping! I couldn't have asked for anything more in a daughter!!!

YOU CAN'T DRESS ME

The game of chase. Any time you show the slightest notion that you may want her to come to you, the game is on. She is running the opposite direction with this naughty little smile on her face. Especially true when it is time to get dressed. As you can see in the pic, I decided we would try a game of tug-of-war (note the pulling of the shirt).

The face of defeat, Mommy wins--- this time anyway.

BATH HAIR

It is hard to even notice the crazy hair for the knockout blue eyes. Some day those are going to be the death of Kelly. However, back to the hair. This is just one of the many doo's we come up with at bath time. Too bad she can't see herself in the tub, maybe she'd laugh as hard as I do!!! (NOTE the look of confusion as I laugh hysterically.)
